Each puppy is provided at least two vet checks, monthly vaccinations and bi-weekly wormings and microchipping to promote recovery in case of loss.  We insist on feeding only quality, proven, size specific Purina One Puppy Food, probiotics and NuVet vitamins to encourage an excellent start on growth and joint health.  A two year genetic/hip warranty is provided with each puppy.

Top priority is given to developing puppy temperaments.  We start with our "super puppy" program from day three through day sixteen, then holding, petting and playing in individual and group situations continues until time for puppies to go to their new homes.  

An added plus in our breeding program is that we leave our puppies with their mothers the entire time they are with us.  Mothers teach their babies what we can't, to be social with adult dogs and to learn to read discipline cues.  Moms do the weaning themselves and puppies have the benefit of learning proper behavior around other dogs.   

Older puppies spend their days outside in large, shady play yards with opportunity to meet other dogs, cats, and children which helps develop friendly, fun-loving temperaments.  Familiarization with the crate is also started, taking some of the stress off of those first few nights at home.

Many puppy placements fail, not because of a "bad" puppy, but because the puppy did not meet the needs of their particular family.  Each dog has a specific temperament that it is born with that needs to be developed and channeled into the correct direction.  By finding out what that temperament is, by Volhard Temperament Testing, we can then provide each family with the correct puppy to meet their specific needs.  

   Updated weekly pictures and video clips will make things more personal by letting adoptive families watch their new pup as they grow.  Choices for individual puppies begin at five weeks of age, after their first vet check.  At that time, individual pictures and Volhard Temperament Test results will be made available, in order of reservation, to choose your new family member.
