For those of you that have been following the progress of Ginger's puppies, I need to apologize for not being able to update the nursery like I had promised. Malware somehow got into my computer and completely shut it down (don't you just love people that don't have anything better to do with their time!). Anyway, we're back up and running so pictures and temperament test results should be added by Monday. Thanks for being patient, the puppies are doing awesome! JW
FOUR WEEKS OLD

Ginger's puppies are four weeks old now and they are getting so big! Their little personalities are starting to show and all of them love to play and receive attention from us. We have one solid black girl still available. She is definitely the calm one of the bunch and loves to sit on our laps to be cuddled. Weights now average between 6.8 and 7.4 lbs, big healthy babies! THREE WEEKS OLD
9/25/10
The babies are three weeks old already! Softened Eukanuba mixed with canned food and NuVet vitamins is being offered to them three times a day with dry food available at all times. Our puppy racket recording is played while they are eating to help desensitize them to the different noises that they will hear in their adult life. They have been de-wormed again and their weights average 4 - 4.14 lbs., almost twice as big as Peebles puppies! Every day we spend time holding, petting and talking to each puppy, to help develop sweet-natured and loving temperaments. TWO WEEKS OLD

Can you believe that Ginger's puppies are already two weeks old! They are showing beautiful coat type and are responding to the Early Neurological Stimulation very well, super calm! These are very large puppies, weighing in at right around 3 lbs, fat, big butterballs! By next week the pups will be starting on softened food and moving around more. ONE WEEK OLD

The babies were de-wormed for the first time today, along with Ginger.
9/11/10
Ginger's puppies are one week old now and they are really getting big! Coat type looks very nice and will be similar to Peebles and Chloe (sisters of this litter). Dew-Claws were removed at three days and they have been going through their Early Neurological Stimulation program (see our Socialization page for a description of that), they will complete that on their sixteenth day. By next week, we should be seeing their eyes beginning to open. Enjoy watching the one week video above! JW
9/03/10 - Evening
It looks like Ginger is finished giving birth. She has two black females, one apricot female and one apricot male. Mom and babies are really doing good, the puppies are very large and nursing well. Ginger is recovering nicely and has eaten her first softened meal, had her shot of oxytocin to expel any retained afterbirth, received antibiotic to keep infection at bay and has started her citrical to keep her calcium levels up. 9/03/10 - Early Morning
Surprise, surprise! Even though Ginger's ultrasound showed no puppies, some babies are on the way! Ginger may only have a small litter, we will know by this evening how many and what color pups she has. Pictures have been added above, enjoy looking! JW

Hershey, the sire to this litter, just earned his champion title at the Mountain Grove show! His beautiful conformation and awesome temperament pass on to his babies, I couldn't be more pleased or proud of my big chocolate boy!

Ginger and Hershey have "gotten married" and are on their "honeymoon" right now! We are expecting creme, chocolate, black and possibly red F1 Standard puppies that will mature to around 75 lbs. Our dams Chloe and Peebles are both out of Ginger and are beautiful, awesome tempered females. I will be keeping a girl from this litter as well to use for our breeding program.
