3/08/10 Ginger's puppies will be four weeks old on Wednesday, time goes by so quickly and they grow up so fast! Testing out puppy barks, play fighting and more interest in toys has devoloped over this past week. Mealtime is now accompanied by our "Puppy Racket" recording of different sounds that condition the puppies to accept loud scary noises while they eat. Their first round of vaccinations and nail clipping will take place tomorrow in preparation for their first time outside at five weeks of age. JW |

2/22/10 Three weeks old and doing great! We're eating softened food now and have been introduced to toys. We like to come up to our people now, crawl in their laps and chew their fingers. What a life, eat, sleep, play and get attention from our favorite people! |

2/22/10 Above is Ginger's litter at twelve days. Their eyes are beginning to open and all of them are nice fat little butterballs! They have been going through their Early Neurological Stimulation program (see my socialization page for an explanation) and have been de-wormed for the first time. JW |

2/10/10 The babies have arrived! Ginger went into labor about 8:00 p.m. last night and finished delivering around 4:00 a.m. this morning (they always seem to choose the middle of the night to have their puppies!) Jazzlynne kept me company and watched the birth from the next run, Ginger showed her how it's done! There are five handsome boys and four beautiful girls in ultra creme and light golden. Keep your eye out for weekly videos and pictures that will be added to the slideshow, I usually get those up by Monday evenings. Mom and babies are doing great! |

2/08/10 Due tomorrow, Ginger is showing signs of preparing to give birth! I've got her on her calcium supplements, under the heat lamp and birthing supplies ready at hand. Keep your eye out for pics of the birth! JW

1/25/10 Ginger is about 48 days along now and really starting to show, I think she has another large litter on the way! She's slowing down and just likes to lay in her blankets a lot now. Another 15 days or so to go! JW

1/12/10 Ginger was bathed, groomed and clipped today and went to Dr. Waide for her ultrasound. He saw a nice large litter on the way! I now have her moved into the newborn puppy area so that she can get settled in for the birth, in about 30 days. Her de-wormings have been started every 10 days, which covers the puppies as well and really gives them a great headstart to a healthy beginning! JW

1/03/10 Took Ginger and Winston for a walk in the snow! We don't usually have accumulation that stays for very long, so we went out to enjoy it. As you can see, Winston is quite the ham, Ginger kept wanting to stay by me, but I got a couple of good shots of her too. She loves her friend "Sagr", as you can see! Enjoy the pics! JW

12/28/09 It looks like the "honeymoon" is over! Ginger will be going in for an ultrasound at 30 days to confirm pregnancy (around 1/07/10), keep watching for new updates! JW

12/09/09 Ginger and Winston have "gotten married" and are expecting little ones at the beginning of February with pups ready to go early April 2010! Their last litter had 16 puppies and they all did great! Ginger is an excellent mom and takes great care of her babies. Wonder how many she will have this time? JW |
