Janet,
I thought you might like to see how our baby ALI is doing. She is getting big, about 25 lbs. now, and she and Boyes love each other so much. She is his little mini side kick as I call her, and if you say Boyes where is Ali, he always knows exactly where she is and runs right to her. She is so sweet and loveable! You can not help but want to hug and cuddle her all day.
The first pic is Ali is playing tug with Scout (Neil's brother's dog ), the last pic is Ali and Boyes sleeping on grandpa's couch together.
I'll send you more whenever I get to uploading them on the computer!

Hi Janet,
I thought I would update you on Cooper. He is now 5 months old and is an awesome guy. He has fit into our family like he was always supposed to be here. He started puppy classes about 5 weeks ago and has been doing wonderful. He is so smart. I have trained him to speak and then when he barks when I don't want him to, I give him the "shhhhh" command and he quits. That is only a hint of what he is doing. My vet has said that if I ever can't take care of him and need to adopt him out, she would like him and to please leave him in my will to her. And..... she has at least 10 goldendoodle's as patients. He is loved by all in my neighborhood. Everyone knows Cooper. The kids love him. He will lie down and roll over for them to pet him. He is very social with people as well as animals, sometimes to his detriment with the animals. :) Cats especially. Since he and Mr. Mustard are best buds, Cooper thinks all cats are cool like Mr. M. Not so other cats, he has found out!!!!
I think I mentioned in a prior email that there is another goldendoodle a week older than Cooper that lives down the street. Well, they get together everyday and play. They are definitely best friends and the mention of each others names brings all kinds of excitement.
The trainer at the puppy class said she thinks of Cooper as an old hippy. Happy, playful, and easy going. So, once again, I wanted to say thank you soooo much. Cooper is a wonderful dog and we are definitely blessed. He is happy and so are we!!!I Attached are some recent photos. He currently weighs a little over 30 pounds. Thank you. :)

Janet -
Copper (Colborn) is now officially settled in our home. We picked him up yesterday from the airport and the kids didn't know what to think. They kept asking if we could keep him "forever". When we got Copper to our house he ran around the backyard with the kids and everyone was so excited! Copper fits right in. He is so precious and we are loving every minute! Thanks so much for everything. We will certainly keep in touch. I am uploading photos now from yesterday and will send them this afternoon. Happy Mother's Day to you!

Dear Janet,
Look how big he became in one week! It is amazing what a little boy can learn within a week. He has been sleeping in his crate at night and during certain times during the day. He goes potty on a certain spot (most of the time), learned sit and wait and plays, plays and plays and loves to be with us and his grandpa Charlie as closely as possible. Charlie is not always welcoming but it has been improving very nicely and they even have no problem eating next to each other. I took him out during fireworks on July 4th, no fears.
Janet, he is just a joy for everybody including my mother-in-law who has been with him since his arrival. (She never had a dog herself and she never thought that as a human you could fall in love with a puppy that much).
____________________
Please see attached Mr.Ludwig. The picture was been taken today (4 months) by friends of ours who love Weimaraners. He stole their hearts within minutes. We are happy to call him our own.
Here a few things he has been doing during the last eight weeks:
We drove to Washington D.C., showing him the White House, the Parliament and Arlington (actually he and I spent most of the time sitting on the lawn, being admired by the public, while my mother- in- law and Thomas visited the sights).
We enrolled him into Puppy Kindergarten (Sports Dog Club of Detroit). Thomas handled him and he earned two third places and one second place in "obedience" last week at the graduation. You can't imagine how eager "daddy" and puppy were to do it right.
We will continue the basic training next week. He is totally crate trained and has not had an accident inside for at least 3 weeks. He accepts being alone and knows already several stories from "Alfred Hitchcock" - (I leave the cd running.) He learned swimming, first in the pets pool and later in our local creek and last week we went to Cass lake, the biggest lake around here. It has been still just for short distances but we don't want to force it.
I try to take him to all kinds of different environments, office, city, bank branch, keeping him sometimes tied outside to have him learn that he just has to wait for us. As you certainly know, in Europe, you can take your dog technically almost everywhere, which is a bit different over here. Michigan does not even allow a dog to be on a porch in a restaurant.
I have been trying to think of anything maybe less positive to say but there is not anything . Having a Weimaraner is definitely a strong commitment (in being totally consistent and sacrificing time) but for us it is worth every minute doing it - he is not an ordinary dog!
____________________
I hope everybody in your family is doing well! Before all Christmas preparations take over I wanted to give you an update on Ludwig's life. First of all, he has become a gorgeous young dog man who just loves women (it does not matter if on two or four legs). He is very friendly to all "creatures" but does bark once in the while if something seems not to be right. We get a lot of very pleasant comments regarding his behavior and beauty. He loves his crate, goes in voluntarily but when we are home he wants to stay as closely as possible to us. I can take him everywhere where dogs are allowed - bank - some stores, down town.
We wish you all a very pleasant holiday time - lots of fun, good stories and time to enjoy!
Thank you again for laying the good ground and for this great companion,

Janet,
I had to send a quick note to let you know what a WONDERFUL pup Sanford, now Marley is. We have a doggie door and he has learned to use it when he has to potty. Not even 11 wks old yet! He is such a smart dog and the kids and our Westie just love to play with him. He even knows his name and comes when you call him. He loves to try and get up on the slide in the backyard, too funny to watch!
Thank You so much for letting us adopt such a sweet little guy!

Dear Janet,
We are off to a great start. We love the puppy and he is so mellow and reminds us of Hank. He enjoys being with us when we drink coffee on the patio and his favorite place to sleep is where Hank always slept. Probably because it's the coolest place in the room. We are working on potty training (housebreaking actually) and a few other skills. He sits and goes down promptly when told, and if he's not side tracked he comes when called. His main distraction is a rose bush that he is determined to chew on, so we finally covered it with a bucket. I don't want him getting hold of one a its thorns and damaging his mouth. He's very energetic but settles down when we pick him up. He likes to have someone around and lays on my feet when I'm sewing or quilting. We are so tickled with his temperament and personality. He gets along great with my two grandsons that live here in Guymon. I just wanted you to know that he's doing perfect. We are enjoying him so much and we are so glad we have him.
Bye for now,

Hello Janet!
Seeing as Gilbert is now almost 10 months old, I figured I would update you on how our wonderful baby is doing. He's happy, healthy, rambunctious and ENORMOUS! A whopping 77 lbs right now! We decided to keep his name Gilbert, and we sometimes affectionately call him Gil. We think that's funny, in a cheesy way because of our last name being Fish. He's loving Oregon! He loves the leaves that come from all the trees here. His favorite thing is to chase the leaves blowing in the wind. We take him to the dog park on a regular basis, and his love of water often gets him in a messy situation with the mud. But, he's just so darn cute we don't mind the mess! He loves baths and walks, and is the most social dog I have ever seen in my entire life. He is friendly to everything he encounters, and always wants some lovin'. Like he doesn't get enough!
He's very floppy and adorable. We all love him very much. He has been one of the best things we've ever done for our family. I'd like to sincerely thank you and encourage you to keep your wonderful breeding business going. I'm sure you have provided many families with the perfect little addition they needed.
Attached are a few pictures of him. They are in chronological order. The first one is from the first night we brought him home. He wouldn't let me leave him. He ended up falling asleep like that on my tummy (: The next two are from when he was about 4-5 months old and he was fascinated by my bird, Souriez. They are now best friends. The most recent one is from Halloween. We put little devil horns on him, and just HAD to get a picture.
We love our puppy so incredibly much. Thank you!

Janet,
Well, we made it safely home. I must tell you that I have not had a crush like this since David Cassidy and the Partridge Family. I am in love with this fuzzy faced dog. He sticks to me like glue! He loves to play with my kitten Gracie. They roll all over the floor and she sleeps next to him when they nap. It is freaky.
Housebreaking is going well. He doesn't understand that the doggy door goes in AND out. He barrels in from the yard through it but just stares when Hannah goes out to the yard through it. He just waits for me to open the door. Another really funny thing is that he goes up stairs with no problem, but going down is a major ordeal. He acts like he is "stranded" in middle and cries for help. It is sooooo funny. I just sit at the bottom and let him work it out one step at a time.
I had forgotten how stressful, tiring, happy, funny, frustrating, chewy, poopy, goofy, darling, cuddly, rowdy and joyful puppies can be. As soon as I get over being sleep deprived I am going to REALLY enjoy it!
Hope you and your family are all well. We are getting into a routine around here. I'll send some pics this week.
Oh yes! I almost forgot. He was a HUGE hit with the family across the street with four basketball playing sons. Milo takes the basketball and "pushes" it to them when it rolls into the grass. He waits for them to miss the hoop so that he can get in on the game. They think he is "the bomb" when he saves them from having to chase it!
The vet, Dr. Steve gave him a clean bill of health and made me promise not to let his wife see Milo because then she will want one. I told him that I would make no such promise and promptly sneaked him into her office where she "ooohhhh" and "ahhh" ed over him. I showed her the minis on the web site and she is smitten.
Ok...gotta go weed the front flower bed. Darn all this rain! Take care!
