Dear Janet;

I hope everybody has been doing well! Here is the latest update on Ludwig. He passed the “Canine Good Citizen” Test tonight, the first in our family who received citizenship for the U.S. ! He is all that we always wanted but first of all a great companion dog. Tell Misty she has done a great job along with all of you. We have been watching her on the webpage and cross our fingers for the next round of half brothers and sisters.

Hey Janet!

Just a quick update. Nuc (Judson) is doing great here at Whiteman AFB. He has made himself comfortable with his big brother Bogie, and has to do anything and everything Bogie does. He slept really well these first nights with us only waking up twice to use the yard. I can't thank you enough for this sweet boy! I have an appointment to take him into the vet on Monday with Bogie, should be exciting. I'll send more pics and info later!

We just wanted to wish you a happy new year, hope your Christmas and New Year celebrations were wonderful and safe! Nuc is doing awesome here! James has been home for a couple of weeks now and has bonded with our little guy! We couldn't be happier with him! He is house broken at only 3 months (haven't had any accidents for two weeks now) and is learning more behaviors every day! I am currently going through a dog obedience instructor course and will soon be a certified instructor with Nuc's help. James loves how calm Nuc is for a Weimy, not to mention the rest of our family! I can't get over how intelligent and how calm he is myself. I am constantly thinking about his wonderful demeanor compared to the past wild and crazy Weim puppies my family has raised. My younger brother threatened to sneak our little guy on the plane to his home in Florida. I'm sure you will see in the attached picture how crazy Eric is about our new guy (the tall blonde with Nuc). My dad, who also was visiting for the holidays, fell in love with Nuc and insisted in holding him during a family picture (looks just like my brother). James and I also took a picture in the snow of our little family. Look how big Nuc has gotten in less than four months!! I can not believe how fast they grow! We can't thank you enough for this little guy, he fits in perfectly with our little, just starting out, family!

Thank you so much!

Hi Janet!

First of all, we are all just in love with Elvis. The girls couldn't have been more excited or surprised. He has taken to crate training well & learning to use a bell for potty training. My youngest daughter's kindergarten class has adopted Elvis as their charting project. He comes in monthly for measuring, weighing, and of course petting. In November he was 6.7 lbs. Today he was 13.6 lbs. I will send pics soon, thanks!

Hi Janet,

I just wanted to pass along how wonderful our new puppy has been. We have named her Frisco "Janelle". She is so sweet natured and fun loving. I attribute this all to your care and quality you provided your puppies. I think she misses you all and her brothers and sisters, she has had some dreams and whimpers. We have had a few accidents inside, but we purchased one of those hanging bells and wow-wee, she learned shy of two weeks! How amazing. But I think she also likes to go outside, to chew mulch and chase leaves, so she rings the bell. Anyway, it works great. She is very little work. She sleeps through the night, goes through spurts of energy and craziness, but shortly thereafter she is calm and sleeping again, a lot of sleep. She gets along great with people and other dogs, yea! We are truly blessed to have such a great dog. Thank you! She weighs 16.8 pounds and the vet has checked her out and says she is great, I think they all fell in love with her also at the vet. She is so adorable and loves to be close to people. Hope all is well with you and have a blessed Christmas.

Hello Janet,

First, I wanted to thank you for breeding such a wonderful dog. We have had Polo, now Cooper, for almost three weeks now. He has fit right in, chasing our 3 cats and trying to play with our 10 year old lab, Barkley, even though he really is not too interested. Cooper has a great little personality and can either be a little spitfire or a cuddle bug and we love him to pieces. He is just over 9 pounds at 11 weeks and his coat is very soft. I am really hoping he keeps his white chest and the little white spot on the top of his head. He has no problem with his crate, sleeping from about 10:30 until 7ish, is already barking at the door when he needs to go out and even sits on command - we think he is a puppy genius! We are keeping an eye on your upcoming litters and thinking about possibly adopting a standard from you in the near future, but we would like to see how big Cooper (being a medium) is going to get first. I will send you additional pictures and keep you updated on Cooper's developement.

Thank you and your family so much,

Hi Janet,

Jenson (Renamed Fitz) arrived at 6:00 pm in good spirits and happy. He drank quite a bit of water at the airport and enjoyed a few treats at home before falling asleep in his new den. We are truly delighted with him and look forward to building a lifetime of memories with our new family member - FITZ!

Thanks for everything,

She loves her toys, plays, eats and sleeps well! We love her already so much!!! She is queen of the castle!!!! We will send you pictures soon. She is growing by leaps and bounds. Hope you all had great holidays!

Hi Janet,

Below are a couple of pics of Coco Tew. We are enjoying our newest addition to our family so much! She loves to play with the kids and is already bigger than our daughter (Olivia 23 mths old) weighing in at 27.7lbs this week. She finished puppy training last weekend at Petsmart and we plan on enrolling in their intermediate class soon. The most impressive thing about Coco is her beautiful chocolate, wavy, fluffy coat that we have found not a single hair come off her! :). We look forward to many many years of family enjoyment with her. She has done terrific with the crate training with only very few mistakes on our part. Thank you again!

Dear Janet,

We have had Matilda for 4 weeks minus 2 days. I have sent you some pictures of her with the other dogs...but I haven't taken the time to tell you about her. We have had lots of dogs in our lives . . . both together and separately. She is our fourth weimie, we are both amazed and delighted by her. Dick looks at her and says she's just a perfect little miracle.

She was housebroken by the end of the first week. We have the perfect set up for this, she has used the dog door almost from the beginning, and now she shares the deck with a large Christmas Tree, which delights her.

She is respectful and playful with the older dogs. She mostly leaves Bear, who is 16, alone.  She cuddles up with Ruby, who is 11, and plays with Henry, who is 7.

She is smart, amazingly so, and of course, soft and oh so beautiful. The question that we have for you is this, are all the puppies in this litter this wonderful? Are all of the puppies that you raise this calm and sweet?

We couldn't be happier, she is a delight in our lives! Thank you!

Hello Janet,

I wanted to send you a quick update on Gessica, aka, Maci. The girls decided on Maci and they absolutely adore her, as do my husband and I. I have attached some pictures of her, one is of the girls holding her and she is giving kisses and the others are of her sleeping and playing. So far she loves to sleep on shoes, after we explain that she can not chew on them :) And she loves chewing on her chew toy the 'cow.' She is just the sweetest puppy and is doing great. She is sleeping at night and has no problems going into her kennel. When she is tired, she is truly out for the count, even when she is asleep and we go to pet her, she doesn't open her eyes but she wags her tail to acknowledge us.

We took her to the vet on Saturday morning and he said she looked great. Thank you again for what you did for us, I truly appreciate it!! I will continue to send pics as she gets older.

Take Care,

Janet,

Just a quick note to let you know that Sherman is enjoying his new home. He had a good night, sleeping in his crate. He was sad when we left him alone, so Alex slept on the couch close to Sherman. We took him out at 2:30 a.m when he stated fussing and at 5:30. He goes straight away once outside. He's a good boy and just adores the kids.

Thanks for all the pictures and paper work. We really appreciate everything you have done and are very impressed with your services. If you ever need a reference, you can give them our e-mail address.

We have decided to keep the name Sherman. We couldn't agree on a name and decided that he looks like a Sherman.

Thanks again and here are some pics of Sherman meeting the kids in his new home.

Hi Janet :)

I've been meaning to write and let you know how Sebastian, now Jack, has been doing. He is a sweet little guy that loves to play as well as rest by our feet! He does like to nip and gnaw on things of course since he is a puppy, but I'm trying to keep lots of toys around for him to bite on. My two sons (15 month old and a 4 year old) love him! Jack is getting better with them as he is having to learn that they are not his toys! I keep a water bottle out as you suggested on your site and that works great if he jumps up on them or is trying to bite at their clothes. He is getting a lot calmer and used to them though. I have been giving him walks everyday that help him to get his energy out. He is pretty much potty trained too! He would have a few accidents at first, but can't remember the last time he went in the house now. It's great! He also knows how to sit and stay now! I'm going to look into getting him into some obedience classes soon as well though.

By the way, the vet clinic was very impressed with all you do for your dogs with all the info you gave in his folder.

I thought I would update you more on Jack. He is 18 weeks old now, which is hard to believe, and is getting so big! We took him for his last round of shots last week. Also, we had him neutered about a month ago. He is doing well and fits in great with our family. I signed him up for obedience school which starts in October. Attached are some pics of our big sweet guy.

I wanted to send you some updated pictures of Jack (Sebastian). He completed his 1st set of classes of Obedience training around Halloween time. It has been snowing in Louisville, and Jack loves the snow as you can see in one of the pictures. Thanks for such a great dog! Have a great Christmas celebrating Christ's birth!

Blessings!

Janet,

THANK YOU for all you did through this long awaited adoption! I could NOT be HAPPIER! It must be very rewarding to bring great joy to others!

Beaudy is darker than I thought he was going to be, and that is GREAT! I love his color! He came in a bit groggy, but rallied enough for me to bathe and brush him. He did both of these with no protest whatsoever. We played briefly and then he wanted to take a nap. Hopefully he will not want to play through the night, but we will cross that bridge when we come to it.

Merry Christmas, Janet!

I just sent you an email of Beaudy (Spaulding) He is doing GREAT! He was potty trained in 10 days and has not had an accident since. He barks once to go out and back in. He is very mellow as a traveler and while in the house. We go out to eat often and he is a PERFECT gentleman through the entire meal.

I can go NOWHERE without being stopped by people who want to touch him and to ask all about him. I have given several your website, I hope they have called you.

We have been to two obedience classes, he does very well.  We are still working on his inability to calmly greet people who approach him. He gets very excited and wants to lick and jump up on them. He is VERY social and LOVES everyone. I am not complaining about that!

He is a much loved guy! He weighs 53 pounds now and I hope is still growing!

I hope all is well with you and your wonderful family. We wish you a very Merry Christmas! All your love and tender care has certainly paid off!!

Hi, Janet

Sorry I haven't sent a report sooner. My 84-year-old mother in Nebraska fell and broke her hip resulting in a full hip replacement, and I've spent the last month and a half running back and forth between here and there! She's home now and is making amazing progress in rehab and therapy. Ocho goes with me sometimes and stays home with Tom sometimes. He is a wonderful, fun dog and doing just great. My parents enjoy his visits and my daughter granddaughters love him. I wouldn't be surprised if Piper calls you to reserve a puppy for them! She and her husband talk about it all the time.

Ocho is an amazing traveler, has gone many places with us in the car, to farmer's markets, the dog park, etc., and everyone loves him. When we go for our walks so many neighbors come out to see him that we don't get much walking done! He is just darling and moves with such a beautiful gait. Everyone notices the way he prances and waves his beautiful long tail. I wish you could see him. He is very friendly with both people and other animals and has a wonderful temperament. Our vets say he's the calmest doodle they've ever seen. He really is very well-behaved in all situations.

Ocho is so beautiful. He is the blackest black you can imagine. I can't get any good photos of him because his features don't photograph well. Even with a flash he just looks like a black blob! I'll try to take some outside this weekend and will forward them to you. I don't know how to describe his coat—wavy or curly, but it is amazingly soft and silky. He is the smartest dog I've ever owned and learns so fast. He was housebroken within three days of coming home and has taken to his crate. He can sit, down, stay, fetch, "leave it," and goes to his special little rug in the corner of the dining room whenever he's told to. We're working on heeling and he's coming along well. He's found his voice and enjoys barking at people walking by the house and squirrels in the backyard. We're working on keeping that under control! He has grown very fast and is more than knee-high already. He is lean, but probably weights 35 lbs. He haven't had him to the vet for about a month, so don't have an accurate weight. He's going to be a big boy.

I've rambled on too long, but Ocho really is a special dog. We love him and have lots of fun. I will send photos soon and keep in touch. Can't wait to see your new little black girls. I'll take a look at the website. Ocho is asleep on my feet as I type this—that's his favorite place.

Janet,

We are just in LOVE with Copper and can't remember what life was like without him. He is just the sweetest little guy. And, of course, smart too. We need to get him in to some classes, but he already knows: sit, lay down, shake, etc. He goes to the back door whenever he needs to potty and when you tell him to go lay down - he goes. He loves the crate now. At night all we have to do is say, "crate up" and he goes right in there and lays down. Using one word for consistently for all of us has been VERY helpful!

____________________

We have been so busy and it sounds like you have as well. Copper is growing like a weed. When Danny took him to his latest appointment he was 22 pounds and growing. I LOVE his wonderful, wavy coat. He is just adorable and had the best personality. I have several pictures I MUST send you. The Milley's (owner of Zakie) came over the day after we brought Copper home for a visit - it was great. Then, about a week ago, we got the two pups together for a first time meeting. It was great! They ran and played and jumped and were just plain silly with each other. It is almost like they know they are related somehow.

Hey Janet!

Just sending you a photo with Reagan and her big brother! They are best buddies! It is too cute. She is doing well, heading to the vet this Friday for a check-up. They can't wait to meet her, hey love when I bring Franklin in! She sleeps great in her crate at night (6-8 hours) and all day she is hanging with Franklin. They play, play, play. He is so gentle with her, I was so surprised because he can be a little rough at times. Now on the other hand, she has made him cry on quite a few occasions, whether she is hanging off of of his ears, or dangling from his lips! She wants to be his boss! And he doesn't seem to mind one bit. Our cats are so nosey and are constantly trying to sneak a peak at her without getting too close. When she does notice them her tail is wagging so hard that her little butt starts shaking back and forth. I will keep you posted on how she is doing!
