3/08/10 Two weeks old and Jazzlynne's puppies' eyes are open! They are starting to become aware of us now, one even crawled up the side of their whelping area to get to my hand! This week they will start moving around more and will start softened food by next week. JW |

3/02/10 Jazzlynne's puppies are a week old now and are doing great! They have had their tails docked, dew-claws have been removed and they have been going through their Early Neurological Stimulation program (see my socialization page for an explanation) and will be de-wormed for the first time tomorrow. |

2/21/10 It looks like Jazzlynne is finished giving birth, we will see within the next few hours whether she is. Sometimes a surprise puppy appears! So far she has two boys and five girls. Did you know that Weimaraners are born with stripes? They fade within the first week or two. It will be easier to tell color after a couple of days, but it looks like they are all grey (which is unusual because Reagan is a blue). I will confirm that within the next week. Pictures are being edited and a slideshow will be added within the next few hours. Mom and pups are doing excellent! JW

2/20/10 Jazzlynne is giving birth! The first puppy was a very large girl (born at 9:05 p.m., 2/20/10), which was holding things up a bit, but both mom and baby are doing fine. Birth pics will be coming soon, it looks like it's going to be a long night! JW

I know everyone is waiting to hear about the birth! Jazzlynne had false labor a couple of days ago, then stopped (of course I was up all night long!) I'm expecting her to have puppies any time now, watch for breaking news and pictures! JW

Just a couple more days until Jazzlynne gives birth! I've got her under the heat lamp and have started her on her calcium supplements (this helps her so she doesn't get low on calcium due to her body producing milk for the pups). Watch for pictures of the birth! JW |

2/10/10 Last night was a long night helping deliver Ginger's puppies. Jazzlynne watched curiously from the next run as things progressed throughout the night. Since this will be Jazzlynne's first litter, it was good for her to be able to see another dog give birth. It won't be long now till it's her turn! JW

Jazzlynne is about 39 days along now. She is definitely showing, but is still her bouncy self when she goes out to play. Another 24 days or so to go!

1/21/10 Jazzlynne was bathed and groomed this morning, then went to Dr. Waide for her ultrasound. He immediately saw puppies when he started checking! She has been moved into the newborn puppy area so that she can get settled in for her first birth. Her de-wormings have been started every 10 days, which covers the puppies as well and really gives them a great headstart to a healthy beginning! JW |

1/03/10 Took Jazzlynne and Reagan for a walk this morning to enjoy the new snow! We usually don't get accumulation that actually stays so I took advantage it and they had a blast. It looks like Jazzlynne's flanks are starting to fill in, a good indication that the breeding took. Have a wonderful start to the new year, enjoy the new pics!

12/28/09 It looks like the "honeymoon" is over! Jazzlynne will be going in for an ultrasound at 30 days to confirm pregnancy (around 1/16/10), keep watching for new updates! JW

12/17/09 Jazzlynne and Reagan have "gotten married" and are expecting little ones towards the end of March, with pups ready to go around late April 2010! This is Jazzlynne's first litter and we are expecting puppies with awesome conformation from her. Reagan's last litter had puppies with outstanding temperaments, between the two of them, this is going to be an excellent litter! JW |
