  SELLER'S PROVISIONS AND WARRANTIES  
     
 

Okefeild Acre's puppies are examined by our  veterinarian at six weeks of age and the day before going to their new home.  A certificate stating that the puppy has been found free from visible signs of infection and/or contagious/communicable disease will be issued and included in Purchaser's paperwork.  The puppy listed below will have had two DA2PPv and one Bordatella vaccination, de-wormings every ten days, and preventative treatment for Coccidia, Giardia and Bacterial Infection for a series of ten days before going to their new home. 

 
     
 

Fatal Viruses

 
     
 

Seller warranties the puppy listed below against fatal viruses for 72 hours after receipt.  If, within the first 72 hours, after the date of shipping or pick-up, distemper, parvo, hepatitis, canine influenza, leptospirosis or corona, causes the death of the puppy  the Seller will replace the puppy with another puppy of equal or greater value from a litter determined by the Seller.

 
     
 

Congenital Anomalies

 
     
 

If, on or before the date of two years, after the date of shipping or pick-up, a life-threatening congenital anomaly is found in the puppy, the Seller will refund half of the purchase price of the puppy (not including shipping). Should the puppy die within the two year warranty, from a congenital anomaly, the Seller will replace the puppy with another puppy of equal or greater value from a litter determined by the Seller.  Anything attributed to other than congenital anomaly is not covered under this warranty. 

 
     
 

Crippling Elbow/Hip Dysplasia

 
     
 

If, on or before the date of two years, after the date of shipping or pick-up, crippling elbow or hip dysplasia is found in the puppy, Seller will refund half of the purchase price of the puppy (not including shipping). As a responsible dog owner, Purchaser understands that many environmental circumstances affect joint health.  Purchaser agrees to feed this puppy a large breed, premium food specially formulated for large breeds or small breed, premium food specially formulated for small breeds,  depending on their estimated mature weight, and will keep said puppy in a lean condition to promote healthy joint growth.  This warranty is void if vet has found that Purchaser has   overfed, kenneled or run puppy on cement or slippery surfaces, pressed on hips to force the puppy to sit or forced puppy to  run or jump excessively before two years of age.

 
     
  PURCHASERS RESPONSIBILITIES  
     
 

Continuing Health/Nutrition/Housing Care

 
     
 

Purchaser agrees to provide scheduled health care, quality food and water at all times and climate controlled, indoor shelter. For this warranty to be valid, Purchaser agrees to keep the puppy listed below up to date on veterinarian administered vaccinations, de-worming/bacterial control, heart worm prevention and any other medications necessary for Purchaser's particular area, for the duration of this warranty.  It is advised to keep a folder of paperwork recording all treatments administered to the puppy listed below which should be documented with the puppy's microchip number.

 
     
 

Purchaser understands that puppies' immune systems are not fully developed when leaving Okefeild Acres and that the puppy listed below will have received only two DA2PPv puppy boosters and a ten day parasite/bacterial treatment required to promote current, healthy immunity. Continuing DA2PPv, Rabies vaccinations and de-worming/bacterial control, under the direction of the Purchaser's veterinarian, will be necessary. Limited exposure is recommended to outside environment and people/animal contact until said puppy is fully inoculated and on a regular parasite/bacterial control program.  Below are some suggestions:

 
     
 

1. Visits to the vet: Never put your puppy on the floor or the ground outside of the clinic, instead carry your puppy or use a pet carrier.  Ask the vet staff to disinfect the exam table before you set your pup down for his/her exam.

2. Dog parks, pet shops, puppy preschool and areas where other dogs of unknown health may have visited should be off limits until your pup has fully completed his/her series of puppy vaccinations.

 
     
 

Socialization/Training

 
     
 

Purchaser understands the importance of socialization with strangers, other dogs, cats and small animals, and agrees to spend quality time outside of the home with their new puppy towards it's social development.  Okefeild Acres recommends enrolling the puppy listed below in at least two levels of obedience training, with Purchaser as handler, to encourage a well-rounded, obedient nature that will benefit both the puppy and it's new family. 

 
     
 

Spay/Neutering - Breeding

 
     
 

Purchaser agrees to spay/neuter the puppy listed below, before six months of age.  Lack of spaying/neutering completely nullifies this complete health warranty.  In the rare case of full registration, no guarantee is given for the ability of said puppy to sire, conceive or produce healthy puppies.  Breeding before the age of two years completely nullifies this complete health warranty.

 
     
 

Deposits/Payments

 
     
 

Purchaser agrees to pay the full balance of their reserved puppy by six weeks of age. Complete payment for the puppy listed below makes the puppy sale final and makes this contract binding.   Deposits are not refundable except in cases where a reserved puppy were to not be available to the Purchaser.  If the reserved puppy becomes unavailable to the Purchaser, full refund of the deposit and other paid funds will be returned promptly, or can be applied to another puppy of Purchaser's choice.

 
     
 

Rehoming Puppy

 
     
 

Purchaser understands that if after receiving the puppy listed below, Purchaser is no longer able to care for their puppy, (due to but not limited to, allergies, landlord refusal, family problems, or adjustment problems) that no refund will be given by the Seller.  Purchaser understands that it is Purchaser's responsibility to place their puppy in a quality home and agrees to NOT resell  the puppy listed below to a broker/pet store or surrender their puppy to a rescue, shelter, pound or any other like organization.

 
     
  WARRANTY CONDITIONS  
     
 

Medical condition claims must be detected by two seperate, board certified, veterinarians through appropriate autopsy, necropsy, blood testing or OFA X-Rays and documented with puppy's registration and microchip number.  Seller reserves the right to confirm the diagnosis with our veterinarian.  If the claim/claims are found to be valid, refund or replacement will be given after the spay/neuter certificate and enrolled registration is returned to the Seller.  Purchaser's veterinarian expenses are the sole responsibility of the Purchaser.

 
     
 

Purchaser acknowledges that they have read, understand and approve of all warranty conditions and terms listed herein.  No other warranties or guarantees are given or implied.  In the event of any litigation in connection with this Health Warranty/Guaranty, Purchaser agrees to be responsible for all of Seller's attorney fees.  Under no circumstance shall the Seller be liable to the Purchaser or to any third party for any veterinarian bills or consequential, incidental or special damages resulting from or in a manner related to the puppy/dog listed below. If said puppy sustains health problems resulting from injury, mistreatment or neglect, after leaving the Seller, the Seller will not assume responsibility for it and no refund will be forthcoming.  Venue and jurisdiction for litigation arising out of or related to this warranty shall be exclusively in Seller's County and State.  State laws outside of the Seller's County and State are not valid per this warranty. 

 
     
 

This health warranty is extended to the original Purchaser(s) only, and is not transferable.
