~ Five Weeks Old ~

We are five weeks old and our little personalities are starting to develop! Our Teddy Bear coats are becoming full and we look pretty cute!

Our trainers have started conditioning us to the different moving objects that we will encounter when we go to our new homes. Getting used to shopping carts, wheel chairs, walkers, strollers, canes, etc. prepares us for any direction our training will take once we join our new famlies. We have also progressed from sitting in a running vehicle to short car rides every day and daily crate training has lengthened!

Next Thursday, individual pictures and temperament test results will be added to the website then Friday our new families are coming to visit to make us a part of their home. Janet will be sending final adoption details and invoices early next week then will confirm appointments. We look forward to meeting you, enjoy our new play video!

~ Three Weeks Old ~

Ellie’s sweet little ones are now three weeks old and this has been a big week! Our eyes are now fully open and we are beginning to respond to Marisa and Chasedy when they take us through our daily training. A litter box has been added to our nursery room and we are already searching it out to go potty in! We also finished up our Neurological Stimulation exercises and have started the next phase of our training and conditioning. Holding, cuddling and walking around during this development stage helps us to learn to be secure when being carried and handled.

At 21 days our ears began to open and we can now hear. We don’t know much about science but research says that during the first week of hearing puppies have very little startle response to loud noises so Janet makes sure to take advantage of this time to begin conditioning us to accept these noises while we are eating. Doing something pleasant while we hear, startle and recover conditions us to ignore the scary noises that we will encounter in our future life. Daily sound conditioning will continue at each of our meals until we go home to our new family. We are getting used to hearing:

  • The sound of a running vacuum, force blow dryer and clippers

  • Slamming doors, gates and dropped objects

  • Honking horn and running car engine

  • CD containing noises such as thunder, wind storm, alarm clock, lawn mower, power saw, buzzers, bells, children playing, thumps, babies crying, bumps and much morejust had their second bath and first trim! Early exposure to water, blow dryers, and clippers is an important step in our socialization process, helping each puppy become confident and comfortable with grooming from a young age. We’re proud to provide these positive early experiences to set the foundation for well-adjusted companions - whether they’re destined for therapy work or as a beloved family member. Enjoy the video below of the puppies eating, these babies are just adorable!

~ Two Weeks Old ~

Over the past week, we have really gained a lot of healthy weight and are starting to crawl around. Marisa and Chasedy are finishing up our Early Neurological Stimulation exercises and we are responding very well! Each day we accept the exercises a little bit better, giving us the perfect start towards developing a temperament that can go in whatever direction you need, whether it be for therapy, diabetic/seizure alert or as an excellent family companion. Click on the bold link to read over a more scientific description of the process and to watch a short video by author, trainer and AKC judge, Dr. Carmin Battaglia.

Enjoy the video below of us going through our Early Neurological Stimulation exercises, aren’t we adorable!

Ellie’s F1b Mini English Teddybear Goldendoodles Have Arrived!

Ellie has given birth to nine beautiful, healthy puppies — five females and four males! With Ron’s help, she had an easy delivery and is settling in wonderfully with her new babies. She has been given oxytocin and a precautionary round of penicillin, and today she enjoyed a relaxing bath while her little ones continue to thrive.

At one week old, the puppies are already showing signs of contentment — now spreading out under the heat lamp instead of clustering constantly to nurse, which tells us they’re well-fed and satisfied. Marisa and Chasedy have started guiding them through their first stage of socialization, and we’re excited to watch these babies grow and flourish.

We’ll be reaching out to families on the reserve list to confirm gender selections, and we can’t wait to share their first pictures with you. Enjoy this sweet first look at Ellie’s newest treasures below!
