Meet Puppies

Matched By Temperament
Not Just Looks

We use formal temperament testing and daily observation to match each puppy with the right home. Whether you’re looking for a confident companion, a cuddly family dog, or a therapy prospect, we’ll guide you to the best fit - not just the cutest face.

Every puppy is raised with our early training to build trust, manners, and resilience before they ever leave our care.

Puppies Under Six Weeks

Puppy selections are made at 6-7 weeks of age, once updated photos and temperament results have been added to the website to help guide your decision. At this age, each puppy’s personality begins to emerge, allowing for the best possible match. Visits in person or Facetime calls will be scheduled for families already on our reserve list, and we’re happy to assist in choosing the right fit based on your lifestyle and preferences.

~ Most Frequently Asked Questions ~

  • Before applying, we encourage you to explore our “About Goldendoodles” dropdown menu. These pages explain everything about Goldendoodle history, types, generations, sizes and possible colors.

Next, check out our “What’s Included” dropdown menu showing you what’s included with your puppy.

These pages will help you and your family decide if now is the right time to begin the adoption process.

When you’re ready, fill out our application to tell us about your home, preferences, and what you’re looking for in a puppy. We consider size, color, energy level, and special roles like therapy or service work to match you with the best fit.

The application also serves as a helpful guide - giving you a clearer picture of what to expect when raising and caring for one of our English Teddybear Goldendoodles.

  • Yes! Every puppy from Okefeild Acres comes with a written two-year health warranty. It covers genetic conditions and reflecfts our commitment to raising healthy, well-cared-for puppies from health-tested parents. You can read the full details on our Health Warranty page, under the “Everything Included” dropdown menu.

  • Just indicate on your application that you are looking for a future puppy. Once we receive it, a member of our team will reach out to discuss upcoming litters, timing, and help you find the best fit for your family.

  • If you’re interested in a specific puppy - or choosing from an available group - just note that on your application. Once we receive it, a team member will reach out to answer your questions and guide you through the next steps for reserving or adopting.

  • To protect the health of our young unvaccinated puppies, we don’t allow in-person visits before six weeks of age. Their immune systems are still developing, so limiting early contact helps keep them safe. We share weekly photo and video updates so you can watch the puppies as they grow until it’s time for your scheduled visit or Facetime call during selection week.

  • Once your application is approved and you’re ready to move forward, you can request an invoice to place a $500 deposit. This secures your spot on our reservation list or holds an available puppy for you. (Please note: Puppies six weeks and older require full payment at the time of reservation.)

  • As agreed to on the application, deposits are not refundable but are fully transferable to a future litter or another available puppy. This allows flexibility in timing or preferences while helping us plan responsibly for each puppy’s placement.

  • As agreed to on the application, final payment is due when puppy choice has been made:

    SIX TO SEVEN WEEKS

A Paypal invoice will be e-mailed in advance of your puppy choice appointment, or you’re welcome to bring cash if visiting in person.

    OVER EIGHT WEEKS

Full payment is required to adopt a puppy older than eight weeks.

This timing helps us prepare for your puppy’s go home day and ensures a smooth pick up or delivery.

  • At Okefeild Acres, we’re known for sharing weekly updates so families can follow along as their puppies grow. Each week, we post new pictures, videos, and notes about what the puppies are learning - all added directly to your litter’s nursery page. It’s a special way to be a part of your puppy’s journey long before they come home.

  • Around six to seven weeks of age - just before puppy selection - we post individual photos and temperament test results to the nursery page. The following day, families will have their scheduled visit or Facetime call to make their final selection with confidence and support.

  • Puppy choice takes place between six and seven weeks of age, either in person or via Facetime. During your appointment, you’ll interact with the available puppies in your group and have time to ask questions and discuss temperament to help make the best choice for your family.

Please arrive or be available at your scheduled time - each family is given a dedicated window. For in-person visits, we kindly ask that you avoid kennels or shelters beforehand and do not visit if your property has had parvo exposure, to protect our unvaccinated puppies.

  • If you’re reserving a puppy from a specific color or gender group, your name will be added to a choice order list for that color/gender. For example, if you’re second on the list of four brown male puppies, you’ll choose after the first family - from the remaining three brown males. This process ensures a fair and thoughtful selection for everyone involved.

  • While it’s rare, if the available puppies aren’t the right fit, we’ll simply move your name back to the main reserve list and begin the matching process again. Our goal is to make sure that you feel confident in your choice - and that your new puppy is exactly what you were hoping for.

  • Before your puppy goes home, you’ll receive a text with final instructions and a copy of your puppy’s health chart so that you can schedule your vet appointments as listed.

You’ll also receive an email invite to set up a wholesale account from Life’s Abundance to order All Life Stages food and treats - we recommend starting with smaller bags to keep everything fresh.

Crate training and socialization will continue right up to go-home day, reinforcing key skills and helping your puppy transition smoothly into your home.

  • At around 7-8 weeks of age, your puppy will receive a full physical exam, a fecal test, and spay or neuter surgery. If a small umbilical hernia is present (common from mother pulling to hard at delivery), it will be repaired at the same time - with no long-term concerns.

We provide anti-inflammatory medication for comfort, and most puppies are up, playing, and eating normally the very next day. You’ll receive a recovery update, and stitches will be removed within 5-7 days.

No special care is needed at homegoing - just be gentle around the surgery area while it finishes healing.

  • The day before your pickup, you’ll receive a reminder with your confirmed time. Please arrive right on schedule, as other families will likely have appointments too.

When you arrive, Ron or Janet will introduce you to your puppy and walk you through the paperwork, including vet records and vaccination info. We’ll also review what your puppy has learned so far and show you the basic commands we’ve been using — making your transition home smoother and more familiar for your puppy.

You’ll also have access to our training video library through the website, where you can review the methods your puppy already knows.

For the ride home, we recommend using a crate lined with a non-slip mat. Baby wipes, paper towels, and a small trash bag can come in handy just in case. We’ll send you with a collapsible water bowl, though food isn’t necessary unless you’re staying overnight — then dinner is fine.

To protect your puppy’s health, avoid public potty spots until a week after their 12-week parvo vaccine. Choose quiet, grassy areas away from traffic and foot traffic when stopping.

And of course, we’re always here to support you — don’t hesitate to reach out with questions as your puppy settles in.

  • If your puppy is being received by ground delivery, Janet will send a text reminder the day before to confirm the day and time. Janet or Ron will then stay in contact with you throughout the day of travel.

After meeting up and introducing your new puppy to you, a team member will go over all of your puppy’s documents (vet check, vaccination chart, etc) then discuss what to expect that evening. A short training session covering what your puppy has learned and the commands used will be shown to you and also included in your puppy’s paperwork. Use of the same methods will help your puppy to understand what is being asked of them and make the transition into your home easier.

Helpful training videos are located on a dropdown menu on our website, these are the methods that have been started with your puppy and are a good reminder if you have a quick training question that needs answered.

Typically we recommend using a crate for transporting your new puppy, we use rubber backed bath matts so that it doesn’t slide around while traveling and helps puppy feel secure. Baby wipes, paper towels and a bag for trash usually isn’t needed but is helpful to have on hand. A collapsible bowl will be provided in case you need to give your puppy a drink during traveling. We do not recommend feeding unless you will be staying overnight somewhere then puppy can be fed in the evening.

Your puppy will not be fully protected until a week after their 12 week 5 way Parvo vaccination. Try to stop at exits with nothing there but an empty field for your puppy to potty in, for their protection against picking up Parvo.

As always, we encourage everyone to stay in touch, we are here to answer questions and help you as your new puppy settles in with you.

  • For those who have arranged to have their puppy flown to them, Ron or Janet will be escorting your puppy in cabin to you. If a puppy is too large to fly in cabin, we personally escort your puppy to you in the same plane by cargo.

Expect a text, the day before delivery, confirming the flight, then the team member escorting your puppy will stay in touch throughout the travel process. Typically we meet at the departures ticket counter of your airport, or at baggage service claim. Those details will be confirmed the day of the flight.

After meeting up and introducing your new puppy to you, Ron or Janet will go over all of your puppy’s documents (vet check, vaccination chart, etc) then discuss what to expect that evening. A short description covering what your puppy has learned and the commands used will be included in your puppy’s paperwork and will help them to understand what is being asked of them and make the transition into your home easier.
