  • comes when called

  • walks up and down stairs

  • walks on the leash willingly

  • is mastering impulse control against jumping on people and furniture

With her loving spirit, beautiful coat, and growing list of accomplishments, Jazzlynne is sure to bring laughter, love, and a little extra sunshine to her forever home!

Temperament Test Results
Four Weeks Old

This past week we started beginner crate conditioning with a crate buddy so that we can slowly acclimate to sleeping in our crate. Marisa and Chasedy have also been holding us more, offering gentle cuddling, holding while walking around and doing body/mouth examinations, all in preparation for handling without fear when we go to our new homes. Our trainers have also started conditioned emotional response exercises such as pulling our ears, hugging around our necks, ruffling our fur, handling and squeezing our paws and clipping our nails while eating Greek yogurt during each manipulation. We are learning to show a positive response, instead of a negative one so that we can handle the bumps and tugs that we might encounter with young children or special needs children/adults with my our new families. Janet thinks we are doing great in preparation for our upcoming temperament test and that our new families will love our sweet natures.

Enjoy watching our first time exploring outside, we did great!

Three Weeks Old

We are now three weeks old and this has been a big week! Our eyes are now fully open and we are beginning to respond to Marisa and Chasedy when they take us through our daily training. A litter box has been added to our nursery room and we are already searching it out to go potty in! We also finished up our Neurological Stimulation exercises and have started the next phase of our training and conditioning. Holding, cuddling and walking around during this development stage helps us to learn to be secure when being carried and handled.

At 21 days our ears began to open and we can now hear. We don’t know much about science but research says that during the first week of hearing puppies have very little startle response to loud noises so Janet makes sure to take advantage of this time to begin conditioning us to accept these noises while we are eating. Doing something pleasant while we hear, startle and recover conditions us to ignore the scary noises that we will encounter in our future life. Daily sound conditioning will continue at each of our meals until we go home to our new family. We are getting used to hearing:

  • The sound of a running vacuum, force blow dryer and clippers

  • Slamming doors, gates and dropped objects

  • Honking horn and running car

  • Thunder, wind storm,

  • Lawn mower, power saw, buzzers, bells

  • Children playing, thumps, babies crying

We also just had our first bath and trim! Early exposure to water, blow dryers, and clippers is an important step in our socialization process, helping us to become confident and comfortable with grooming from a young age.

We’re thankful that our trainers provide these positive early experiences to set the foundation for well-adjusted companions - whether we’re destined for therapy work or as a beloved family member. Enjoy the video below of the puppies eating, aren’t we just adorable!

Two Weeks Old

Over the past week, we have really gained a lot of healthy weight and are starting to crawl around. Marisa and Chasedy are finishing up our Early Neurological Stimulation exercises and we are responding very well! Each day we accept the exercises a little bit better, giving us the perfect start towards developing a temperament that can go in whatever direction you need, whether it be for therapy, diabetic/seizure alert or as an excellent family companion. Click on the bold link to read over a more scientific description of the process and to watch a short video by author, trainer and AKC judge, Dr. Carmin Battaglia.

Our next litter update will be pictures after our first bath. Enjoy the video below showing us going through our Early Neurological Stimulation exercises, aren’t we adorable!

One Week Old

Joscelyn has given birth to eight beautiful, healthy puppies — five females and three males! With Janet’s help, she had an easy delivery and is settling in wonderfully with her new babies. She has been given oxytocin and a precautionary round of penicillin, and today she enjoyed a relaxing bath while her little ones continue to thrive.

At one week old, the puppies are already showing signs of contentment — now spreading out under the heat lamp instead of clustering constantly to nurse, which tells us they’re well-fed and satisfied. Marisa and Chasedy have started guiding them through their first stage of socialization, and we’re excited to watch these babies grow and flourish.

We hope you enjoy the new pictures above and video below, apply now to start your adoption journey, we look forward to hearing from you!
