Family Companion Prospecft

Kobi is a sweet-natured boy with a fun and playful spirit yet has a love for snuggles. He adores people and enjoys playing with toys - but he truly shines when curled up by someone he loves. His happy nature makes him a great fit for a family with children or a family looking for an affectionate companion.

This handsome boy is learning all the right things for his age:

  • resting quietly in his crate for up to seven hours

  • using the litter box and doggie door to keep his living space clean and potty free

  • comes when called

  • walks up and down stairs

  • walks willingly on leash

  • is mastering impulse control against jumping on people and furniture

With his loving spirit, soft Teddy Bear coat, and growing list of accomplishments, Kobi is sure to bring laughter, love, and a little extra sunshine to his forever home!

Five Weeks Old

We are now five weeks old and this has been a big week! Our eyes are now fully open and we are responding really well to Chasedy when she takes us through our daily training. We have started following mama outside the doggie door to go potty and are enjoying short periods of playtime outside!

At 21 days our ears began to open and we can now hear. We don’t know much about science but research says that during the first week of hearing puppies have very little startle response to loud noises so Janet makes sure to take advantage of this time to begin conditioning us to accept these noises while we are eating. Doing something pleasant while we hear, startle and recover conditions us to ignore the scary noises that we will encounter in our future life. Daily sound conditioning will continue at each of our meals until we go home to our new family. We are getting used to hearing:

  • The sound of a running vacuum, force blow dryer and clippers

  • Slamming doors, gates and dropped objects

  • Honking horn and running car

  • Thunder, wind storm,

  • Lawn mower, power saw, buzzers, bells

  • Children playing, thumps, babies crying

Today we had another bath and trim, early exposure to water, blow dryers, and clippers is an important step in our socialization process, helping us to become confident and comfortable with grooming from a young age.

Next week is puppy choice! Individual pictures and temperament test results will be added to the website on Thursday then final choices will be made on Friday. Expect Janet to contact you to confirm appointments and to send final invoices and links to order food. Write down any questions that you might have and we can go over those when you meet the puppies, we look forward to showing off the boys to you!

Four Weeks Old

This has been a big week! We had another bath and trim, were microchipped and received our first parvo vaccination! Early exposure to water, blow dryers, and clippers is an important step in our socialization process, helping us to become confident and comfortable with grooming from a young age.

We’re thankful that our trainers provide these positive early experiences to set the foundation for well-adjusted companions - whether we’re destined for therapy work or as a beloved family member. Enjoy our new play video below!

Over the past week we have really gained a lot of healthy weight, our eyes have opened, we are starting to crawl around and we received our microchips. Lots of great changes!

Chasedy has finished up our Early Neurological Stimulation exercises and we responded very well! Each day we accepted the exercises a little bit better, giving us the perfect start towards developing a temperament that can go in whatever direction you need, whether it be for therapy, diabetic/seizure alert or as an excellent family companion. Click on the bold link to read over a more scientific description of the process and to watch a short video by author, trainer and AKC judge, Dr. Carmin Battaglia.

Newborns Are Here

Kendra has given birth to two handsome boys with Ron’s help! She had an easy delivery and is settling in wonderfully with her new babies. She has been given oxytocin and a precautionary round of penicillin, and tomorrow she will receive a relaxing bath while her little ones continue to thrive.

Enjoy the new pictures and video below!

A Litter Is Planned

Kendra and Jorge have been confirmed pregnant for a small litter of around two F1b Mini English Teddybear Goldendoodles! Sometimes artificial insemination timing is a bit off, resulting in a small conception rate but Dr. Megan says the babies look healthy!

These two are truly an exceptional pair combining everything that we look for in top-quality Mini Goldendoodle lineage. Kendra boasts extensive European champion bloodlines and Jorge is a finished champion himself, which contributes to stunning body structure, and both parents boast gorgeous, plush coats that reflect their English Teddy Bear and Poodle heritage - soft, non-shedding and easy to maintain! Their temperaments are equally outstanding: gentle, loving and people oriented, making them the ideal companions for family, children and as therapy prospects. Health is also a top priority at Okefeild Acres and both Kendra and Jorge have had the health testing done to ensure a strong genetic foundation for their puppies. Make sure to apply now to reserve your puppy ready to go home April of 2026!
