Personality And Temperament

~ Affectionate Family Companion

Talitha is a bright and interactive little girl with a sweet personality! Playful yet attentive, this sweetheart will bring smiles with her playful cuteness as she explores and interacts with her family. Possessing medium energy, Talitha would thrive in a home with older children or an active family ready to include her in daily adventures. Her affectionate nature and playful spirit will make her a delightful companion.

This pretty girl is learning all the right things for her age:

  • resting quietly in her crate for up to eight hours

  • ringing the potty bell to go out

  • uses the litter box and doggie door to keep her living space clean and potty free

  • comes when called

  • walks up and down stairs

  • walks on the leash willingly

  • is mastering impulse control against jumping on people and furniture

With her loving spirit, beautiful coat, and growing list of accomplishments, Talitha is sure to bring laughter, love, and a little extra sunshine to her forever home!

Temperament Test Results
Five Weeks Old

We are five weeks old and our little personalities are starting to develop! Our Teddy Bear coats are becoming full and we look pretty cute!

Our trainers have started conditioning us to the different moving objects that we will encounter when we go to our new homes. Getting used to shopping carts, wheel chairs, walkers, strollers, canes, etc. prepares us for any direction our training will take once we join our new families. We have also progressed from sitting in a running vehicle to short car rides and daily crate training has lengthened!

Next Thursday, individual pictures and temperament test results will be added to the website then Friday our new families are coming to visit to make us a part of their home. Janet will be sending final adoption details and invoices early next week then will confirm appointments. We look forward to meeting you all, enjoy our new play video!

Four Weeks Old

We are now four weeks old and this has been a big week! Our eyes are now fully open and we are beginning to respond to Chasedy when she take us through our daily training. A litter box has been added to our nursery room and we are already searching it out to go potty in! We also finished up our Neurological Stimulation exercises and have started the next phase of our training and conditioning. Holding, cuddling and walking around during this development stage helps us to learn to be secure when being carried and handled.

At 21 days our ears began to open and we can now hear. We don’t know much about science but research says that during the first week of hearing puppies have very little startle response to loud noises so Janet makes sure to take advantage of this time to begin conditioning us to accept these noises while we are eating. Doing something pleasant while we hear, startle and recover conditions us to ignore the scary noises that we will encounter in our future life. Daily sound conditioning will continue at each of our meals until we go home to our new family. We are getting used to hearing:

  • The sound of a running vacuum, force blow dryer and clippers

  • Slamming doors, gates and dropped objects

  • Honking horn and running car

  • Thunder, wind storm,

  • Lawn mower, power saw, buzzers, bells

  • Children playing, thumps, babies crying

We also just had our first bath and trim, were microchipped and received our first parvo vaccination! Early exposure to water, blow dryers, and clippers is an important step in our socialization process, helping us to become confident and comfortable with grooming from a young age.

We’re thankful that our trainers provide these positive early experiences to set the foundation for well-adjusted companions - whether we’re destined for therapy work or as a beloved family member. Enjoy the video below of the puppies eating, aren’t we just adorable!

Two Weeks Old

Over the past week we have really gained a lot of healthy weight, our eyes have opened and we are starting to crawl around, lots of good changes! Chasedy and Cathy gave us our first bath and we were microchipped.

Chasedy has finished up our Early Neurological Stimulation exercises and we are responding very well! Each day we accept the exercises a little bit better, giving us the perfect start towards developing a temperament that can go in whatever direction you need, whether it be for therapy, diabetic/seizure alert or as an excellent family companion. Click on the bold link to read over a more scientific description of the process and to watch a short video by author, trainer and AKC judge, Dr. Carmin Battaglia.

Enjoy the new pictures and video below, aren’t we adorable!

One Week Old

Tatiana’s puppies are one week old and are doing really well! The puppies are showing signs of contentment by spreading out under the heat lamp instead of clustering constantly to nurse, which tells us they’re well-fed and satisfied. Marisa and Chasedy have started guiding them through their first stage of socialization, we’re excited to watch these babies grow and flourish.

We hope you enjoy the new pictures below, apply now to start your adoption journey, we look forward to hearing from you!

Tatiana has given birth to four beautiful girls and six handsome boys with Janet’s help! She had an easy delivery and is settling in wonderfully with her new babies. She has been given oxytocin and a precautionary round of penicillin, and tomorrow she will receive a relaxing bath while her little ones continue to thrive.
