~ Gentle Snuggly Companion ~

Walker is a sweet-natured cream boy with a fun and playful spirit and a love for snuggles. He adores people and enjoys playing with toys - but he truly shines when curled up by someone he loves. His happy nature makes him a great fit for a family with children or a family looking for an affectionate companion.

This handsome boy is learning all the right things for his age:

  • resting quietly in his crate for up to eight hours

  • uses the litter box and doggie door to keep his living space clean and potty free

  • comes when called

  • walks up and down stairs

  • walks willingly on leash

  • is mastering impulse control against jumping on people and furniture

With his loving spirit, soft Teddy Bear coat, and growing list of accomplishments, Walker is sure to bring laughter, love, and a little extra sunshine to his forever home!

Temperament Test Results
Five Weeks Old

We are five weeks old and our little personalities are starting to develop! Our Teddy Bear coats are becoming full and we look pretty cute!

Our trainers have started conditioning us to the different moving objects that we will encounter when we go to our new homes. Getting used to shopping carts, wheel chairs, walkers, strollers, canes, etc. prepares us for any direction our training will take once we join our new famlies. We have also progressed from sitting in a running vehicle to short car rides every day and daily crate training has lengthened!

Next Thursday, individual pictures and temperament test results will be added to the website then Friday our new families are coming to visit to make us a part of their home. Janet will be sending final adoption details and invoices early next week then will confirm appointments. We look forward to meeting you all, enjoy our new play video!

We are now three weeks old and this has been a big week! Our eyes are now fully open and we are beginning to respond to Marisa and Chasedy when they take us through our daily training. A litter box has been added to our nursery room and we are already searching it out to go potty in! We also finished up our Neurological Stimulation exercises and have started the next phase of our training and conditioning. Holding, cuddling and walking around during this development stage helps us to learn to be secure when being carried and handled.

At 21 days our ears began to open and we can now hear. We don’t know much about science but research says that during the first week of hearing puppies have very little startle response to loud noises so Janet makes sure to take advantage of this time to begin conditioning us to accept these noises while we are eating. Doing something pleasant while we hear, startle and recover conditions us to ignore the scary noises that we will encounter in our future life. Daily sound conditioning will continue at each of our meals until we go home to our new family. We are getting used to hearing:

  • The sound of a running vacuum, force blow dryer and clippers

  • Slamming doors, gates and dropped objects

  • Honking horn and running car

  • Thunder, wind storm,

  • Lawn mower, power saw, buzzers, bells

  • Children playing, thumps, babies crying

We also just had our first bath and trim! Early exposure to water, blow dryers, and clippers is an important step in our socialization process, helping us to become confident and comfortable with grooming from a young age.

We’re thankful that our trainers provide these positive early experiences to set the foundation for well-adjusted companions - whether we’re destined for therapy work or as a beloved family member. Enjoy the video below of the puppies eating, aren’t we just adorable!

Two Weeks Old

Over the past week, we have really gained a lot of healthy weight and are starting to crawl around. Marisa and Chasedy have finished up our Early Neurological Stimulation exercises and we are responding very well! Each day we accept the exercises a little bit better, giving us the perfect start towards developing a temperament that can go in whatever direction you need, whether it be for therapy, diabetic/seizure alert or as an excellent family companion. Click on the bold link to read over a more scientific description of the process and to watch a short video by author, trainer and AKC judge, Dr. Carmin Battaglia.

Newborns Are Here

Willow has given birth to eight beautiful, healthy puppies with Ron and Janet’s help! She had an easy delivery and is settling in wonderfully with her new babies. She has been given oxytocin and a precautionary round of penicillin, and today she will receive a relaxing bath while her little ones continue to thrive.

Enjoy the newborn pictures and video below!

Pregnancy Confirmed

Willow and Gulliver have been confirmed pregnant for F2b Medium English Teddybear Goldendoodles with European And Champion Bloodlines. Dr. Megan saw six plus precious puppies on Willow’s ultrasound, which can be seen below.

Willow and Gulliver are truly an exceptional pair combining everything that we look for in top-quality Medium Goldendoodle lineage. Both parents boast gorgeous, plush coats that reflect their English Teddybear and Poodle heritage - soft, non-shedding and easy to maintain. Their temperaments are equally outstanding: gentle, loving and people oriented, making them the ideal companions for family, children and as therapy prospects. Health is also a top priority at Okefeild Acres and both Willow and Gulliver have had the health testing done to ensure a strong genetic foundation for their puppies.
